Install Sublime Text 3 on CentOS 7
Sublime Text is one of the powerful text editor available for CentOS 7. Sublime Text can be used as text or source code editor for web and software development. You can also extend the functionality of Sublime Text using plugins.
Prerequisites
Before you start to install Sublime Text 3 on CentOS 7. You must have the non-root user account on your system with sudo privileges.
Install Sublime Text
To install Sublime Text on CentOS we will first import SublimeHQ GPG key for repository. Then we will add Sublime Text repository to the system repository list. Then you are ready to install Sublime Text.
First import SublimeHQ GPG key typing following command in terminal.
"sudo rpm -v --import https://download.sublimetext.com/sublimehq-rpm-pub.gpg"
Now Add Sublime Text repository to repository list in your system running following command:
sudo yum-config-manager --add-repo https://download.sublimetext.com/rpm/stable/x86_64/sublime-text.repo
Now you can install Sublime Text running following command:
sudo yum install sublime-text
Start Sublime Text
To launch Sublime Text from terminal run following command:
subl
