Monu Goyat became the most expensive player at Rs 1.51 crore while Rahul Chaudhari was the second most expensive player at Rs 1.29 crore. In the first half of PKL auction, Fazel Atrachali had emerged as the most expensive player in Pro Kabaddi history. He was bought by U Mumbai for Rs 1 crore breaking the previous record of Nitin Tomar who was bought by UP Yoddha for Rs 93 lakh.
Another interesting buy was by Dabang Delhi who got their hand on Khomsan Thongkham. The Thailand international was the second most successful raider during Kabaddi World Cup 2016.
A total of 422 players will go under the hammer ahead of the 6th season of Pro Kabaddi League scheduled to begin later this year. The two-day auction will witness 12 teams contest for 58 foreign players and 87 youngsters as part of the Future Heroes Kabaddi Programme (FKH), an initiative that is sure to add some excitement to the bidding process as teams will look to balance their squad with the addition of these prodigious talents.
