This Privacy Policy explains how DocAI PDF Tools ("we", "us", "our") collects and uses personal data when you use https://blog.eduguru.in/pdf-editor and related services. We operate primarily for users in India and aim to comply with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act) and the Information Technology Act, 2000.
1. Data we collect
- Account data — email address, name (optional), password (stored hashed), subscription status.
- Usage data — IP address, browser type, pages visited, tool usage, timestamps (server logs and analytics).
- Payment data — processed by Razorpay; we store order IDs and payment references, not full card numbers.
- Support communications — messages you send via contact forms or support tickets.
- Cookies & advertising — essential cookies for sessions; optional analytics/ad cookies if you consent (see Section 6).

2. How we use data
- Provide, secure and improve PDF tools and accounts.
- Process payments and manage Premium / Enterprise subscriptions.
- Send transactional email (password reset, service notices).
- Respond to support requests and legal obligations.
- Display personalised or non-personalised ads via Google AdSense when enabled and consented.
- Prevent fraud, abuse and rate-limit violations.
3. Legal bases (DPDP Act)
We process personal data based on your consent (account creation, marketing cookies, optional AI features), contractual necessity (providing paid services), and legitimate interests (security, analytics, service improvement) where permitted by law.
4. Sharing with third parties
- Razorpay — payment processing (Razorpay Privacy).
- Google AdSense — advertising when enabled (Google Privacy).
- OpenAI / AI providers — text extracted from PDFs for Premium AI tools only, under our data processing terms.
- Email (SMTP) — transactional email delivery.
- Support portal — ticket creation for customer support.
We do not sell your personal data.
5. Retention
Account data is kept while your account is active and as required for tax, billing and legal records. Server logs are rotated periodically. See the Data Usage Policy for document retention.
6. Cookies & advertising
We use essential cookies for authentication. With your consent, we may use Google AdSense and related cookies to show ads and measure performance. You can withdraw consent via the cookie banner or browser settings. Learn more at Google Advertising Policies.
7. Your rights

8. Children
Our services are not directed at children under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
9. International transfers
Some subprocessors (e.g. Google, OpenAI) may process data outside India. We use appropriate safeguards where required.
