purpose of putty
PuTTY is a terminal emulation program . If you want to manage or configure a device from pc you can use PuTTY for that purpose. It supports SSH,Telnet and Serial ports, so that you can connect directly through serial cable or may take remote session. For example to connect using cables ; take RJ45 cable , connect those devices and open PuTTY select connection type as serial configure it and then we are ready to go!!!
